economy good or bad for classic cars?

With the downturn in the current economy we notice the affects in classic car sales. We were just wondering what you thought. Is this current state good or bad for the car market? On one hand people are reluctant to spend money on things they dont see as "necessities." Im sure many of us would disagree clinging to our cars as part of our life support, but many dont feel this way. On the other hand classic cars are an investment. If you have your money tied up in a nice classic a ride this all through its just as good as any stock or cd out there. We have definately noticed a slump in our sales. So what do you think?

Everything comes down when the economy is slumping like it is. You cannot buy (logically) if you don't have the extra income to do so. If your Hot Rod is paid for and you can afford the insurance for the next couple of years or so you will probably break even when it comes time to sell. If you just love the hobby for what it is; then live your dream my brothers and sisters!!!

Those who have money for toys will continue to have it. The market is a bit soft but if you have the income and can wait it out it is really a good time to make a purchase. Prices are good and the selection is great!
