CPP Power steering gear box

CPP Power steering gear box. Working on getting the power steering gear box hosed up on my 1955 Chevy. Here are a few things I have learned. There are two fillings on the gear box an inlet and a return. Neither are marked on the gear box. Both fittings where the hoses connect to the gear box are the same size. Unscrew the fittings and you will see one is larger than the other where it screws into the gear box. The larger one will be the pressure inlet and the smaller is the return line. A small learning. I did contact CPP and they recommended a hose kit that they sell. I did not want to wait so I went down to the local hydraulic hose whop and had the pressure hose made. It was close to $50.00 to build the pressure hose. Take the fittings with you and also use that phone for something useful. Take some photos. Now the pump is all connected, The belt is on and the pump is full. Now once I get it fired up I can see just how well it works out. Willie Moore Streetrodding

That's interesting. I always thought the larger hose was designated for the return. Thanks for the info!
