It's time to get the '40 Chevy ready for the season. The interior could use a good cleaning. It's gray tweed and leather. I know that some people on the site think tweed should go into the trash, but that's not an option now. I'm wondering what people are using to clean tweed before I go out and buy products. Thanks in advance.

Simple Green, diluted
1st test an area for color fastness.
A wet vac can help get the water/cleaning solution out after you're done scrubbing - make sure the end of the hose is clean first.
I use a hand steamer !
I use Carbona oxy clean carpet cleaner comes with the brush an sponge on the bottle works great for me.
hand steamer is by far the best.
If it`s sculpted on foam, don`t over saturate it.----If you have to ask why, get it done professionally.
Da34guy has it right. I've used Diluted Simple Green on my seat covers with great results.
i like the hand attachment on the brides carpet cleaner . sucks all the stuff out.
I am suprised no one suggested " Windex" I wouldn't try it but.....
Also what nice with the steamer, as it takes out the wrinkles and tightens up the tweed !
