devilbiss gun set up

  ok guys I've a devilbiss starting line paintguns with a 1.8 air cap. this will be for spaying 2k primer/surfacer. being a newb I need a good setup point to start with. should all adjustments be fully open? like 25 psi at gun with fan and paint needle wide open or close a few turns and how many? thanks in advance.

  fine for primer but dont use for anything else.

  rule of thumb for any gun.

  fan wide open - close down 1-1 1/2 turns

  fluid 3- 3 1/2 turns out

  air pressure depends on gun.

  orange peel = fluid adjustment

  runs = air pressure
