I bought a 1997 XK8 coupe
I finally sold the El Camino and purchased a 1997 Jaguar XK8 coupe (I'll try and post some pictures). I am having a 5.3 LS rebuilt with aftermarket cam & lifters, bigger torque converter and LS2 fuel injection. I'm paying to have the work done as I can't do anything any more (waiting for a heart valve replacement) . No fun not being able to do my own work. I bought the car and the conversion kit from Andrew at JaguarSpecialties.com in Cambell California. It's British Racing green with beautiful cream and burled wood interior. Andrews kit interfaces the chevy to the Jag so all the instruments and warning lights still work. I figure this will be my last build so opted for luxury, style, class and performance. The El Camino went to south Georgia. I am waiting to have the car shipped from calif to Ocala where my engine guy is. I hope everyone is doing well it's been a long time. The car won't qualify for NSRA so I probably won't be attending many of their events any more....pretty sad after 37 years. I may try and do some Goodguys shows as well as nearby events.
