  • I think I have one more build left in me if I can ever sell the El Camino (btw I have to tell Willie the price is $12,000 not $13,000). Want to do a 97/98 Jag coupe with an LSX engine tranny then that will probably be it for me. Old age is catching up can't seem to do anything any more....especially walking. Sandra's still working and ornery as ever, We went to Italy a couple of months back to see daughter and grand kids. Eriq lives half a mile from me and I see him a lot. He's doing really well at Mad Max as a project manager. I still attend the NSRA season opener in Tampa every year...watch for the El Camino if you get there. Been an NSRA member since 1972 and I've still never won anything!! You guy's take care and keep safe.....later!!

  • Yes I traded the 36 for a Packard coupe with BBC. Had two fours on it. Stopped every 100 miles and filled the tank :)
As for the El Camino Willie is listing it for me on this site. It's been a good car. I put the Pontiac Bonneville/Grand Prix dash in it and it came out well (except it was not compatible with the ECM and I couldn't find anyone who knew how to fix it so we eliminated the problem with a new fourbarrel, intake and HEI). Body wise the Elco is in excellent shape...no rust....couple of small dings in the hood where something fell on it in the garage :( Healthwise I'm hanging in there. We are taking a trip to Italy next month (that'll probably kill me). FYI the reason I'm selling the Elco is to buy a 97-98 XK8 Jag Coupe and put an LSX motor and tranny in it. Saw one at a local car show and I'm still making wood every time I think about it LOL. Someone makes a kit to do the whole conversion. You guys take care and help Willie with the site....it's looking good!
