Been driving the 34 some. When I turn the headlights on, they wink off & on very fast at the same time. GM column, GM switch, all new wires. They are grounded separately. Does it on bright or dim. Dash lights stay on. I don't think it is a ground because of the way they are grounded. I can not get it to do it in the shop, only driving down bumpy S.C. roads. Any thoughts????

I have always had early 30"s ford streetrods, Am getting older and want to get into muscle cars for the first time. I have always wanted a late 60's Chevelle. I found one that caught my eye here in Ohio. It is a true 138 code SS with a LT1, with 2400 miles since total rebuild and installation into car. There is a new auto transmission as well. The car is in great condition as far as body and interior. It is triple black with new tires as well. I now that price like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, ... Read All ...

I have a small block 355 with a high pressure, after market, power steering pump in a 69 Chevelle. I have twice now blown the hose fitting off of the high pressure line coming out of the pump, causing total loss of the fluid. There is a slight flange on the approx. 3 inch long aluminum tube coming out of the pump, where the hose mates on to the line. The local hose and fitting shop has now tried twice to crimp a fitting onto the line, without sucess. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My brother-in law just traded a chopped top 31 model A sedan for a 64 Galaxie XL . He wants to get rid of the linkage type power steering and go to a integral power steering box . He asked me to poke around and see what would possibly work . As far as I can tell the integral box didn't come out on the Galaxie until 65 and it will not work on a 64 . He knows that Borgeson has one . Because of the $$$ he wonders if there are any alterernatives . I poked around a little further and found that the ... Read All ...

Heard a rumor last week that Downs Industries was lockin the doors. Well, was just runnin around the net and saw that all the molds for the early cars are for sale. I doubt that Jamie is lockin the doors, just getting out of the street rod stuff. Do know he does a lot of other stuff for the Big 3

Just got back from helping with some set-up at the GNRS. I always enjoy this show. Lots of over the top cars, but a lot of drivers as well. It's a good thing it's indoors. Supposed to rain for the next 4 days. That's too bad for the guys who wanted to bring their cars to the outdoor show (that would be me). I got a sneak preview of the AMBR contenders. I'll take some pics tomorrow, but from what I saw, it looks like a return to realistic rods that people can relate to. That is with the exception of ... Read All ...

A good friend of mine has run into a problem . Ive bragged about how good you guys are on this site so don't make me look bad. He's putting a sbc 283 (1967) in a Fiero chassis. The adapter kit requires he use a "mini" starter mounted right up to the block where the oil filter is? The kit "archie" manufacturer says to use a remote oil filter. The problem is they say to run an oil line from the threaded hole above the filter. There is NO threaded hole? See picture. Is that a plug? If remo ... Read All ...
