Well ,had a wild hare and decided to tear apart the 69 Chevy c-10 s/b completely apart ! Got the frame back from the powered coat and putting back together ! Had to drop the stock exhaust manifolds off to Jet Hot in Burlington,NC and brought them back seat belted in !!
So here goes , I'm the second owner of this bomb. Bought it in California in 2000 when I lived there and brought it out with me . The gentlemen I got it from ordered it brand new with a factory 427 Not the big horsepower but good with p/s,p/b, a/c and factory p/w . I'm sure the purest will scream at me doing what i'm doing, but it's mine and it's RUST FREE TRUCK !! Took off the factory quad carb and intake and replaced with a aluminum manifold powered black and had the trans all rebuilt turbo 400 and paint the motor black. Had a Tru Track from Billet Specialties in stock that I bought 20 years ago and put that on !

  • Took forty- five minutes to do the complete side of the bed right down to the metal, Counted 3 layers of paint and primer. Tried the red ones it gummed up. Changed to the blue and holly shit did it take it off! was really impressed with these ! Even that they are made in China they work ! 10 of them for $36.00. So that turned out to $3.60 a side for removing paint ! Cheaper than stripper or sandblasting just buying the sand $11.00 a 80 lb bag ! I'm a happy person with these !

  • Have question to some of you hard core truck guys ! This AC fuel filter was on the truck, as I got it from the original owner that ordered the truck in 1969 with a factory 427 and he said that's the way it came,as he ordered it to match his 1966 Corvette with a 427 .with tri power but couldn't get it with that option . Anyway back to The gas line comes right out of the tank in the cab right to the filter on the frame ! No rubber hose (But I'm putting one on )and the bends have bent angles by a machine not hand bent . But can't find anything in the books about it ! Everything he said has come true as when I redid the engine numbers say it's a 427 1969 block not high horsepower but factory 400 turbo with it and disc brakes another one in the books said not till 1971 so i'm lost !
