Looking for a small shifter rubber boot ?
Finally A small shifter boot that works ! I've been told that my brake boot works as a shifter boot but till now didn't know ! Well it's true and it works GREAT ! On the picture this is on Automatic transmission only as there is not a lot of throw with the automatic! if that makes sense. The brand that was used was Lokar.

  • Hey, Jeff
Shades of the past, circa 1950s, when I manufactured and installed floor shifts for a mega 15 bucks.
I used a 1949 to 1951 Ford column shift, 1" by 1" angle iron, 1930s GM foot starter pedal bellow. Bellow was 99 cent from Ourisman Chevrolet parts. It looked like your boot. I held it down with 4 #10 sheet metal screws thru 4 fender washers = hi-tech stuff, har, har. First gear was left and forward. Pull straight back for a fast, chirping second gear. If some bandito tried to steal your wheels, he could never figure out how to shift it.

  • Just a better pic shows the shifter where the height needed so you have plenty of throw in the park to low gear !
